WE BELIEVE THAT A CHANGE IN THE INDUSTRY IS VERY MUCH NEEDED, AND THAT SAFETY AND WELL BEING OF SEWERS SHOULD NOT BE THREATENED BY THEIR WORK.

THE MANUFACTURY

When we first started to design our bikinis in Moers, a smaller city in Germany, in 2020 we wanted to do it better. We wanted to make sure that people are paid fairly. We wanted to make sure that the people and the planet are treated well when our fashion is produced. We wanted that everything we do, is done with love.
Therefore, we chose to have our bathing suites produced in Bali. The south-eastern Asian island is well known globally for its beautiful coastline and its breath-taking nature and culture. Gladly, we have found the perfect manufactury right there. Now we are able to produce climate neutral, while keeping the highest standards in terms of working conditions and environmental impairments.

ETHICS

The sewers are paid above minimum wage, receive one extra-ordinary salary per year, and are paid double their salary for over hours. We also assure that our crew is health insured, to cover medical fees, prescribed medication & hospitalization for themselves and their families. The factory provides a rich vitamin breakfast, healthy lunch, and an air-conditioned workspace for all staff members.
The offcuts and leftovers of fabric material are donated to a local female charity organization, who re-work them into mats and doll toys, for local resale.
A percentage of every order we place is given to “Bali Street Mums”, an organization devoted for welfare and education of Bali’s women and girls.
All these standards are certified and controlled regularly by an independent third party. Of course, we are in close contact with the operators continuously throughout the entire production process as well.
By all of this, we guarantee that your swimwear is coming from Bali with love.
